Almond French Toast
Ingredients:
52g Large Egg (x1)
65ml Skim Milk (average, all brands)
0.5g Ground Cinnamon (average, all brands)
1.5g Vanilla bean extract (average, all brands)
68g Helga's Loaf (Light Rye)(x2)
15g Macro Natural Almond Spread
9g Butter
15ml Queens Sugar Free Maple Syrup
100gStrawberries (sliced)
10gAlmonds (average, all brands, slivered)
Method:
In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla, and whisk.
Spread almond butter on two slices of the bread and sandwich together with the remaining two slices.
Take the whole sandwich and dip it into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak up the liquid. Repeat with the other sandwich.
Heat butter or coconut oil in a frypan over medium heat. Place French toast in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
To serve, slice French toast sandwiches in half and sprinkle with slivered almonds, berries and maple syrup.
